If we have our own why in life, we shall get along with almost any how.

About

I’m Arc NineOhNine, yes, not my real name, a sportsbike rider from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Let’s get my name out of the way. The “arc” stems from the arc naming convention, an IT joke for the cognoscenti. From the late 1980s all my online personas have had “arc” at their start – how to bootstrap from nothingness. The “NineOhNine,” that’s a longer conversation best had over a long ride break or a brew.
What we do though as motorcyclists and specifically as sports bike riders is no joke. Sure it’s fun, sure we enjoy what we do, but it’s not a joke. I take extremely seriously this sport of ours, sometimes a little too seriously (something I’m still working on) but with a firm knowledge of the risks and consequences involved.
Through this site I’m seeking to share my experiences and perhaps some grains of wisdom with you, a fellow rider.

The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward.
